New three-screw pump brochure

A new, free brochure discusses the 324A series rotary, positive displacement. three-screw pump line. The 4-color brochure illustrates pump construction features as well as performance capabilities, operating limitations, and nominal dimensions. Designed for continuous operating pressures to 500 psig (34.5 bar) and flows of 50-900 gpm (190-3,400 l./min), the 324A series is available in 10 displacements fitted to five casing sizes. Pump casings are produced from cast iron or, optionally, steel.

Fuel choices for fuel cell powered vehicles

The American Petroleum Institute has published a new booklet, yours free for the asking, "Fuel Choices for Fuel Cell Powered Vehicles."

The first fuel cell vehicles could be in production by 2005, the booklet notes. The choice of fuel for these new vehicles is a decision that auto makers will make in the next year or so, and consumer preference will play a key role in this choice, the API booklet says. Consumer preference, the book notes, will likely be determined by factors including vehicle performance and the relative ease and flexibility of refueling.

A new brochure describes the ISC Series cartridge seal product line that features interchangeable pusher, metal bellows, or elastomer bellows seal configurations.

The interchangeable design of these general-purpose cartridge seal yields an easy-to-use seal with a common gland and sleeve platform. Even though different pump applications require different seal arrangements, pumps with ISC Series seals can be economically switched into different services simply by changing out the seal configuration to meet the new requirements, the company says.

The brochure describes the interchangeable feature of this new cartridge seal design and shows how the various seal configurations can be established for a variety of specific uses. Operating parameters for each seal type are given, and a set of mechanical dimensions is tabulated for the complete range of available shaft and seal sizes.

Turbine meter

Here's a new line of ISO and OIML-approved 50 mm through 300 mm (2 in. through 12 in.) custody transfer turbine meters. The G65 (DN50) through G4000 (DN300) Mark II turbometers are rated at 4,500-230,000 scfh and come in bar ratings of 16-100 (240-1,440 psi). The 50 mm and 80 mm models are referred to as the Mark IIE versions, the "E" indicating end entry.

The 100-300 mm three-pipe diameter ductile iron and steel flanged bodies have a top entry design, allowing easy removal of the measurement module without removing the meter body from the pipeline. Blade tip sensors provide a high resolution pulse output to the user's electronic corrector. All Mark II and Mark IIE models feature durable aluminum rotors.

Flow sensor brochure

The new Verabar, a velocity-averaging insert flow sensor designed for gas, liquid, and steam operations, is displayed in a free 6 page brochure. Color photos and drawings illustrate the sensor, which senses the natural differential pressure produced by the sensor in a flow stream.

The product's low pressure port locations help prevent clogging and produce a nonpulsating differential pressure signal.

New actuator handbook

A free handbook describes modulating actuators for FCCU slide valve actuators in refineries.

The 43-page handbook provides an overview of split-unit actuators and gives specific information on actuator configuration and theory of operation.

It also lists performance characteristics of actuators, details hydraulic system components, and covers control system components, mechanical positioners, and cylinder assembly.

Specifications, wiring diagrams, warranty information, service and repair data, and photos and drawings are included.
