The new RO-DISC is a high efficiency skimmer for inland waters, and process applications such as separators and tanks.

New floating disk skimmer recovers oil - This new disk skimmer recovers floating oils.

The new RO-DISC is a high efficiency skimmer for inland waters, and process applications such as separators and tanks.

The unit is suited for use in high concentrations of light and medium oils, with recovery rates of as much as 9 gpm

The skimmer has a single bank of rotating oil attracting disks driven by a hydraulic motor. Oil is recovered from the water surface as it adheres to the disk surface.

As the disks are rotated through the skimmer head, oil is scraped off and collected in the sump on a continuous basis. The skimmer offers efficiency rates up to 99%.

Disk speed can be varied to optimize efficiency according to conditions.

Skimmed oil is removed by a hydraulically driven peristaltic pump, which is able to run dry and will self- prime. The package is offered with an electrically driven hydraulic power unit. Alternative pumps and drive arrangements are available.

Two-bolt closure pigging system - This company's standard two-bolt closure pigging system covers closure sizes through ANSI 4500# class as well as API 15,000 psi maximum allowable working pressures. Closure sizes range from 6 in. through 24 in. diameters, available in four-bolt or two-bolt design options.

These systems are offered in various styles such as butt weld end closure units, one piece barrels with integral closure, or skid mounted packages complete with valves and piping, tested ready for use.

New flow conditioner - The GFC System I VAS (vane style antiswirl) is a new flow conditioner designed to help reduce installation costs of custody transfer metering equipment.

These flow conditioners have a patented two component design. The first component settles fluid disturbances by removing swirl from the fluid flow, while the second component perfects the flow profile. This dual action system promises accurate flowmeter readings, the firm says.

The new system is considered a product option of the patented Gallagher flow conditioner (GFC). The new product option does not require a separate spool piece or pipe to be installed, but instead, can be retrofitted directly at the inlet flange of the flowmeter's pipe run.

To distinguish the new option, the existing GFC System I has been renamed the GFC System I TAS (tubular style antiswirl). The only difference between the two products' designs is the antiswirl device each uses. The new VAS product uses steel slats or vanes, whereas the original TAS product uses a bundled tube design.

Both products provide the same level of accuracy; the GFC System I VAS is a more economical solution for the user, the company points out.
