UNION TEXAS SCOPES AGAIN IN PAKISTAN

A group led by a unit of Union Texas Petroleum Holdings Inc., Houston, has lengthened its skein of discoveries in Southeast Pakistan. Union Texas Pakistan Inc.'s latest strikes are a pair of gas wells - 1 Makhdumpur Deep and 1 Khorewah Deep - on its Badin I concession. They are the company's 40th and 41st discoveries, respectively, since the Union Texas combine began exploration in the Badin area in April 1977.
