Norwegian operators will lay about 2,600 km of gas pipeline from 1996 to 2000 (OGJ, Dec. 12,1994, p. 32).

Under the latest program, McDermott-ETPM West Inc. will lay: the Zeepipe IIB link from Norway's Kollsnes terminal to the Block 16/11 offshore transmission hub; the NorFra line (formerly Zeepipe IV) from Block 16/11 to Dunkerque, France; and possibly the Haltenbank area link to the North Sea transmission grid. This amounts to 1,400-1,900 km of line.

Allseas Marine Contractors SA, Chatel-St. Denis, Switzerland, won a contract to lay the Europipe 11 line from Block 16/11 to Emden, Germany, and a loop around Ekofisk field, about 625-740 km of line.
