In the U.S., where Mobil has a total of 838,000 b/d of refining capacity in five plants, Mobil surpassed its 1990 crude run record by 4% with a new high average of 744,000 b/d of crude oil. The company's U.S. capacity utilization rate climbed to 91% in 1991 from 87% in 1989 and 1990. Mobil's 1991 U.S. gasoline production rose by more than 5% to a new high of 442,000 b/d.
