Aalund Managing Editor-Technology The reunification of Germany has brought some 22 million tons/year or 435,000 b/d of crude oil processing capacity into the European Economic Community from the former German Democratic Republic or East Germany. Most of this-16.2 million tons or 323,000 b/d-comes from two refineries, PCK AG Schwedt and Leuna-Werke AG.
