Wood Group Mustang

Griffin

Wood Group Mustang promotes Tim Griffin to vice president, industrial operations leading the company's North American industrial division based in Greenville, S.C.

The division serves the automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, pulp and paper and engineered materials industries with a strong focus on providing high-quality, fit-for-purpose solutions for grassroots projects, revamps, facility expansions and modernizations.

Griffin joined Wood Group Mustang in 2011 and served most recently as director of operations for the industrial group and formerly as director of project controls & estimating. He previously was with Fluor Corporation serving their manufacturing and life sciences business unit. Griffin holds a Bachelor of Science in construction science and management from Clemson University.

Wood Group Mustang's Greenville office was established in 2006 with the acquisition of Global Performance. The Greenville office supports clients with a strong regional presence, while Wood Group Mustang grows and expands its business both domestically and internationally.

WELLSITE RENTAL SERVICES

Wellsite Rental Services, LLC (WRS), a comprehensive, rental equipment provider for the drilling and production sectors of the oil and gas industry, has appointed Mark Johnson as president.

Johnson joins Wellsite Rental Services with more than 34 years of experience in the oil and gas, domestic inspection and rental markets. He will manage all business ventures including operations and sales, while developing the core business and expanding the company's reach.

The company will be announcing a broader product line in the near future – this venture will be led by Johnson.

Johnson recently held the position of president at CSI Inspection, LLC, where he directed all corporate regions and staff throughout North America.

Johnson is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and the American Petroleum Institute (API). Additionally, he serves on the board of directors for the Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE).

VAM USA

VAM USA LLC, the leading supplier of premium threaded connections for the oil and gas industry in the USA, confirms that it reached an agreement with the City of Youngstown, Ohio to purchase and develop property for a new threading plant to be located on Ohio Works Drive. The planned 67,000 square foot and approximately $80 million facility will thread VAM® connections on pipe produced at the adjacent Vallourec Star plant and destined for the North America oil and gas shale plays.

U.S. Venture has hired three new business development managers and promoted an internal team member to operations manager as U.S. Oil., a division of U.S. Venture, continues to expand its GAIN Clean Fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) brand.

The new business development managers, that will coordinate developing GAIN Clean Fuel business relationships, include:

Anne Wyrsch who will be responsible for developing the GAIN CNG business for the East Coast markets of South and North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. Prior to joining U.S. Venture, Wyrsch spent seven years in supply chain management with Echo Global Logistics where she managed the Atlanta Branch and developed enterprise clients.

Joe Limone will be responsible for the Mountain Region markets, including Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska and Kansas. Prior to joining U.S. Venture, Limone worked in the fuel logistics industry for more than seven years. During that time, he sold refined fuels, natural gas, diesel exhaust fluid, fleet cards and additives to fleets in the western United States.

Cy Mellet will focus on the West Coast markets, including California, Oregon and Washington. Prior to joining U.S. Venture, Mellet was a Navy pilot, an analyst/consultant for Strategic Resource Group and a financial wholesaler for The Hartford. In addition to the new hires, U.S. Venture has also promoted

Pat Van Dehy to operations manager for GAIN Clean Fuel. In his new role, Van Dehy will be responsible for all operational activities relating to current station development, project management and sales support. Prior to the promotion, he was a project manager and was instrumental in creating the structure and systems required to meet the rapid growth of the GAIN Clean Fuel brand.

SERIMAX

Langeland

International welding and subsea fabrication specialist, Serimax, have strengthened their presence in Norway with the appointment of Jan Langeland as Country Manager.

Jan has over 35 years' experience in the Norwegian oil and gas industry including lengthy spells with Statoil and latterly with Subsea 7 as Supply Chain Category Director.

Jan will be based in Serimax's new office at Forus in Stavanger and the company are planning a recruitment campaign in response to increased demand for their range of services from Norwegian operators and First Tier contractors.

Part of the Vallourec Group, Serimax, provides welding solutions for offshore deepwater pipelines, spoolbase design and management, landlines welding and subsea fabrication. The company has a long track record of successful projects in Norway, including the provision of the Ormen Lange North spool-pieces for Subsea 7 and the Asgard spool-pieces for Technip Norge which were both completed at Kristiansund.

Baker Hughes

Commercially launched only two years ago, the Baker Hughes AutoTrak™ Curve rotary steerable system has reached an unprecedented milestone—drilling 10 million feet in unconventional shale plays.

The AutoTrak Curve system provides precise directional control, enabling operators to stay exactly on plan or change targets on the fly for optimum wellbore placement, even in thin reservoirs. This allows operators to safely and efficiently kick off from vertical and drill a high buildup rate curve and the lateral in fewer runs—saving time and money.

P2 Energy Solutions

P2 Energy Solutions (P2) announced the release of P2 Managed Reserves 7.0, the most significant update to their reserves management solution ever.

P2 Managed Reserves 7.0 is a multi-user repository for reserves data. It easily integrates with Microsoft Excel processes, production accounting, reservoir engineering and economics tools already used by many companies. By simplifying the reporting process and database management, companies can perform reserves value reconciliations in a timely manner. Reserves management systems provide useful benchmark information on a company's performance, as well as the required disclosures to various regulatory agencies.

TUV Rheinland

A global leader in independent inspection services, TUV Rheinland has acquiried Risktec Solutions Limited headquartered in Warrington, U.K., and operating from 15 offices in the U.K., the Netherlands, Middle East and North America. Risktec provides risk and safety services and offers technical training and education to highly regulated industrial sectors around the world. Risktec's core industries include the oil and gas industry, nuclear power generation and the railway sector.

With its 230 employees, Risktec most recently generated sales revenues of more than $46.7 million (€34 million), with efforts focused particularly on the markets of the U.K., North America and the Middle East.

The acquisition of Risktec enables TUV Rheinland to assist clients in meeting the demand to demonstrate compliance with increasingly stringent international legislation and industry standards. At a time when many industries are dealing with increasing technical challenges, associated with investing in new assets or extending the life of existing assets, they are also faced with skill shortages across the world. This has resulted in high demand for the consulting, training and education services provided by Risktec. Risktec provides services to many of the world's most important industrial companies, including international operators of power plants and oil and gas facilities.

DNV GL

Vamadevan

DNV GL appoints Mr. Hari Vamadevan as new regional manager for UK and Southern Africa. Vamadevan was previously DNV's UK regional manager and the new role will see him head up 13 oil and gas related offices throughout the UK.

The addition of Southern Africa to the region brings opportunities to transfer the knowledge and technology from the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) to areas such as Angola, Nigeria, Ghana and newer developments in Mozambique and Tanzania.

DNV GL's differentiated offering to the market include the Spadeadam test site in the North of England. The world-leading facility is equipped to carry out large and full-scale hazardous trials on oil and gas assets, simulating real-world environments.

In addition, DNV GL has onshore pipeline expertise at a Flow Centre in the North-east of England. The center is one of the largest high pressure natural gas flow facilities in the world and has developed a reputation for outstanding technical expertise, quality and flexibility of service and an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the flow measurement and control industry.

Foster Wheeler Kentz Energy Services DMCC

The Dubai-based joint venture company of Foster Wheeler and Kentz, announced that it has been awarded framework contracts by Shell Iraq Petroleum Development B.V. ("Shell"), for the provision of engineering, procurement and related services for the Majnoon Oil Field Commercial Production Project in Iraq. Shell is the operator of the Development Production Services Contract for the Majnoon field, which is located in southern Iraq, approximately 70 km north of Basra City.

The services, including concept selection, front-end engineering design, detailed design and contract and procurement services will be provided primarily by Foster Wheeler Kentz Energy Services DMCC, supported by the Foster Wheeler and Kentz organizations.

The contracts with Shell will run for two years, with an option to extend for an additional year, and will provide a framework for a number of packages of work to be executed, covering new facilities and rehabilitation or upgrade of existing facilities.

In 2009, following Iraq's second licensing round for oil production, the government signed a 20-year service contract with international oil companies Shell and Petronas to develop the Majnoon oilfield. The Majnoon field measures around 60 kilometers long and 15 kilometers wide and is estimated by the Iraqi government to hold around 38 billion barrels of oil in place. Shell is the lead operator in the consortium with a 45% stake, Petronas holds 30% and the Iraqi South Oil Company the remaining 25%.

Bowman Consulting

Bowman Consulting announced that natural gas industry veteran Ed Palombo has joined its Pittsburgh office as Sr. Vice President. Mr. Palombo will help lead Bowman's continuing strategic expansion of its natural gas services platform. Mr. Palombo brings over 30 years of engineering and operations experience in the natural gas industry, having directed the activities of engineering staffs and field operations in design, and construction and maintenance for distribution and transmission/storage and gathering systems all over the region.

Most recently, Mr. Palombo led the Asset Engineering and Operations Technology initiatives for Peoples Natural Gas, Peoples TWP (formerly Phillips Gas), and Peoples EGC (formerly Equitable Gas), and was responsible for the engineering, planning and project management of their capital infrastructure programs. In addition to his engineering and operations experience, Mr. Palombo also led the integrity management programs for distribution and transmission, and he has an extensive background in GIS, and integrating technology applications across operations and engineering processes.

Atwood Oceanics, Inc.

The global offshore drilling contractor announced the move of its corporate headquarters to the Energy Crossing II building at 15011 Katy Freeway to accommodate the company's recent record growth.

The move also marks a pivotal point in Atwood's 45 year history as the company invests in an ongoing $4.5 billion fleet expansion and modernization program. Upon the program's completion in 2015, Atwood will have replaced its legacy assets with world class drillships, semisubmersibles and jackup rigs, reducing average life of its active rig fleet from approximately 30 years to 10 years.

Atwood Oceanics made the decision to relocate its corporate facilities after 34 years in its former location at Park Ten Place, allowing Atwood to become more operationally efficient and flexible. The move will provide the company's nearly 200 Houston-based employees with contemporary workspaces and numerous collaboration areas. The office space, which occupies the top two floors of the eight story building, also includes an employee cafe and social gathering area.

Included in the new space is a ground floor training center for delivering competency-based drilling and technical skills curriculum. A prominent feature of the new facility, the learning center will emphasize workforce development for both shore-based and offshore teams, improving the safety, reliability, and efficiency of Atwood's drilling services.

The 89,000 sq. ft. Atwood space was designed by Gensler with construction services provided by Houston-based Trademark Construction. The Energy Crossing campus is leased and managed by Lincoln Property Company. Atwood is targeting a Silver LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for its space.

Helmerich & Payne, Inc.

Confirmed that the Company has entered into new drilling contracts with YPF Sociedad Anonima. The Company plans to deploy ten existing FlexRigs(R)* from the U.S. to work in the Vaca Muerta play in the Neuquen Province in Argentina under five-year term contracts. The first rig is expected to commence drilling operations during the Company's fourth quarter of fiscal 2014. The remaining nine rigs are expected to be sequentially deployed, reaching full utilization by the end of the second quarter of fiscal 2015.

Helmerich & Payne, Inc. is primarily a contract drilling company. The Company's fleet includes 319 land rigs in the U.S., 29 international land rigs and nine offshore platform rigs. Of the 319 U.S. land rigs, 275 are currently contracted. 22 of the 29 international land rigs are currently active, with nine rigs currently located in Argentina (of which eight are active). Once the deployment of the additional ten (FlexRig3) rigs is completed, the Company is expected to have a total of 19 rigs in Argentina.

Conductor Installation Services

Conductor Installation Services (CIS), an Acteon Company, announced that it successfully completed a contract for Weatherford Malaysia Sdn Bhd to provide conductor-driving services and associated equipment on behalf of Petrofac (Malaysia-PM304) Limited (PML) and Petrofac Energy Developments Sdn. Bhd. (PED), collectively referred to as Petrofac.

These services were delivered as part of Petrofac's plans to develop Block PM304 for production on the Cendor Field Development, and to further expand the Berantai Field Development, which are located offshore Terengganu, Malaysia.

CIS supplied full project management, including personnel and onshore technical support for the entire project, from the fabrication of drive shoes through to the installation of the conductors. CIS was responsible for carrying out drivability studies, fabricating customized drive shoes, welding the drive shoes to the customer's pipe, and supplying handling and cold cutting equipment.

Working from the GSF Galveston Key and Trident IX jack-up rigs, CIS used a 90kJ hydraulic hammer to drive fifteen 36-inch conductors into the seabed to form part of the foundations of the Cendor B and C platforms, which are key components of this development.

The contract, valued in excess of $1 million, was completed by CIS with support from its base in Singapore and global headquarters in Great Yarmouth, England. Working in water depths to 62 meters, CIS installed all nine conductors in six days on the Cendor Phase II Development.
