Houston US ethylene producers in both first and second quarters 2013 improved on the results of second-half 2012 and maintained output above the historic mid-range of 145 million lb/day. A heavy turnaround schedule, however, led to more capacity being out of service in second-quarter 2013 than in the first quarter.
