US Sens. Mary L. Landrieu (D-La.) and John Hoeven (R-ND) submitted a joint resolution expressing the sense of Congress that the Keystone XL crude oil pipeline and the federal approvals required for its construction are in the US national interest.
"We have studied this project for long enough," said Landrieu. "We know its tremendous economic benefits and the critical role it will have for our nation's energy security. With Nebraska now on board, every state involved has realized this project is a job creator with minimal effects on the environment."
