Europe gas oil storage report

An Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) weekly gas oil storage report is now available to the industry.

Aiming to match the usefulness of its North American Cushing, Okla., oil storage service, this firm is applying the same measured data technological expertise to establish Europe's weekly measurement of middle distillate physical inventories at storage terminals.

The company says, "If your business depends on understanding the movement of European oil, you'll see the value of having weekly access to storage actuals, not estimates or survey data."

In addition to a weekly PDF, web-based dashboard, and data feed, users receive historical tank-by-tank data and updates on tanks undergoing construction or maintenance.

As with its Cushing oil service, the speed, accuracy, and flexible formats of the new ARA weekly actuals will give subscribers a tool to identify new tradable short term opportunities.

Data are harvested from strategically deployed in-the-field energy monitors weekly. Covering 1,000+ ARA tanks, the report is designed for those who require insight into the more than 175 million tons of oil moving through ARA every year.

New biobased multimetal protection

VpCI-148 paper is a new, environmentally friendly, grease resistant, corrosion inhibiting paper consisting of biobased materials.

In addition to its corrosion inhibiting properties, it provides resistance to greases, oils, and solvents. Vapor phase corrosion inhibitors (VpCI) fight corrosion at the molecular level and provide protection with corrosion inhibiting vapors that condense onto the surface of the products and form a thin, uniform, economical, and effective corrosion inhibiting layer, the firm says.

Unlike wax or polycoated papers, this paper contains a biobased coating and is fully recyclable and repulpable. The product is fluorochemical free, helping to suit it as an alternative to traditional grease resistant papers.

It is simple to use: there are no chemical concentrations to calculate or application systems to maintain, and your products can be used immediately—no surface preparation or cleaning is required.

The paper protects ferrous and nonferrous metals, dry or oiled, such as carbon, stainless, and galvanized steel, cast iron, copper, solder, aluminum alloys, and brass.
