Bourbon,Paris, has announced a $2 billion program of newbuilds through 2015, expanding its offshore oil and gas services/supply fleet to 600 in the next 5 years. The additions entail 80 supply vessels and 64 crewboats for both deepwater and shallow-water logistics services. The latest expansion of the fleet by 144 vessels follows a 2012 timeframe program involving 66 supply vessels and 33 crewboats currently under construction. As of yearend 2009, Bourbon's oil and gas support fleet totaled 357—134 supply vessels and 223 crewboats.
