A joint American Petroleum Institute-Association of Oil Pipe Lines team is working to develop standard global positioning system coordinate submittal guidelines in an effort to reduce potential errors in locating oil and gas pipelines.One-call centers throughout the US increasingly include GPS coordinates as part of a one-call notification by an excavator.
