Kempthorne starts preparation of next OCS 5-year plan

Citing dramatically higher prices, US Department of the Interior Secretary Dirk A. Kempthorne started the Minerals Management Service’s next 5-year Outer Continental Shelf lease plan preparation 2 years ahead of schedule.“When our current 5-year plan was launched in July 2007, oil was selling for $64/bbl.
