Based on history, the world will require long-term sulfur management strategies because the increased development of fossil fuels likely will result in involuntary production of large amounts of surplus sulfur.At present, the high price for sulfur has removed the stranded label from even the most remote sulfur blocks. Nonetheless, experience has shown that this situation may not last.
