Companies take steps to avoid bribe hazards

Risks inherent in multibillion-dollar overseas oil and gas deals include the chances of violating the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Violations can occur in what seems to be normal and lawful business conduct. They also can be expensive.
