New Iberia, La., has announced the formation of Bayou Welding Works LLC (BWW), which represents the company’s return to its original business when formed as Bayou Welding Works Inc.

New Iberia, La., has announced the formation of Bayou Welding Works LLC (BWW), which represents the company’s return to its original business when formed as Bayou Welding Works Inc. in 1942. Mike Burke, president of the new company, has over 24 years of fabrication and welding experience. Primary focus of BWW will be multi-joint fabrication services. The Bayou Companies LLC is a leading supplier of pipeline coating and pre-fabrication services in the Gulf of Mexico region, and has operations worldwide.

Houston, has elected Robert J. Oberst as senior vice-president and member of the board of directors.

Miller & Lents Ltd. is an international oil and gas consulting firm, serving the industry for over 55 years.

Helmerich & Payne Inc.

Tulsa, has announced the promotion of John Lindsay to executive vice-president, US and international operations; and Alan Orr to executive vice-president, engineering and development. Both take effect following the retirement of George S. Dotson, a 35-year veteran of the company, serving most recently as president and COO of the firm’s drilling subsidiary.

Lindsay earned a petroleum engineering degree from the University of Tulsa, and joined Helmerich & Payne in 1987 as a drilling engineer.Orr graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point with a BS degree in general engineering, and has been with Helmerich & Payne since 1975. Helmerich & Payne Inc. is a contract drilling company with a total fleet of 128 rigs.

Hamilton, Bermuda, has announced the appointment of Themba Mabuza as managing director of Foster Wheeler South Africa Pty. Ltd. He succeeds Mark Meyer, who retired after 25 years with Foster Wheeler in South Africa. Mabuza holds a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of theWitwatersrand, South Africa. Prior to joining Foster Wheeler in 1997 as a senior process engineer, he had worked for AECI Ltd., and Sentrachem.

Foster Wheeler South Africa, located in Midrand, midway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, has provided engineering, procurement, and construction project execution in the area for 30 years.

Houston, has announced that Vetco Gray will celebrate its 100 year anniversary of service to the upstream oil and gas industry during 2006. Beginning in 1906 as Regan Forge & Engineering Co., joined by Gray Tool Co. in 1922, and Ventura Tool Co. in 1930, Vetco Gray provides drilling systems, subsea, surface, and offshore production systems in more than 30 countries.
