Reservoir software operates on Windows 64-bit platform

IRAP RMS 3D reservoir modeling software now will operate on the Windows 64-bit platform, offering increased data volumes (allowing oil and gas reservoir models to be built in greater detail), faster speeds, and lower operating costs.

The company says that users will be able to maximize performance from reservoirs at lower hardware costs without compromising performance.

In addition, IRAP RMS now runs in native mode on all supported hardware platforms and operating systems-without the need for any additional emulation software.

The reservoir modeling software is also closely integrated with the firm’s reservoir simulation solution-Tempest-which operates on the Linux 64-bit, UNIX 64-bit, and Windows 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, leading to a dynamic and closely integrated modeling and simulation work flow.

Faster 3D reservoir modeling with faster processing power and visualization will allow IRAP RMS users not only to build larger models but build in as much detail as is required to develop multiple scenarios. The result will be a more complete analysis of the reservoir and improved decision-making, the company points out.
