Houston, has announced several appointments in its Oil, Gas & Chemicals Group. W.L. Tex Carter has joined the company as vice-president of Oil, Gas & Chemicals. Carter has more than 30 years of experience in the global engineering and construction industry, working with both Fluor Corp. and Technip.

Philip A. Meier has been named manager of LNG operations. Meier’s 25 years of experience includes work at Bechtel, and M.W. Kellogg, managing projects and operations in LNG, gas processing, petrochemical, power generation, and telecommunications.

T. John Theo has joined the company as manager of downstream operations. Theo has more than 35 years of experience, including service with Technip, and Foster Wheeler.

Flowserve Corp.

Dallas, recently dedicated a new pump, valve, and seal manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China. The state-of-the-art facility will support the company’s existing operations serving the oil & gas, power, chemical processing, and water industries in Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, and Shenzhen.

Flowserve Corp. provides fluid motion and control products and services. The company’s products are designed to withstand extreme temperature, caustic chemicals, intense pressure, and other demanding conditions in some of the world’s most remote and developing geographies.

Menck GmbH

Kaltenkirchen, Germany, has named Christoph Daum as its managing director. Daum, who has 15 years of experience in the subsea oil and gas business, holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig. He joins Menck from Nooddeutsche Seekabel Werke AG, where he was divisional director for project implementation.

Menck, an Acteon company, provides foundations to the onshore oil and gas industry, and anchor and mooring points to the offshore industry.
