Here’s a new hammer union pressure transmitter, which comes with cCSAus certification for use in intrinsically safe operation in oil field jobs.

The NEMA 4X/IP44 hammer union is engineered for use with highly abrasive and corrosive media. It complies with new NACE standards for sour gas pressure applications and is specifically designed for mud logging, cementing, fracturing, and acidizing.

The rugged pressure transmitter features shock and vibration resistance, while providing better than ±0.35% combined linearity, hysteresis, and repeatability at pressure ranges of 0-5,000 up to 0-20,000 psi. The transmitter provides 4-20 ma output and features industry standard electrical connectors for simplified installation. A 20 ma calibration shunt is also standard on all models.

New real-time project cost management software

The new Oncore real-time project cost management software now is available for use by oil and gas companies, utilities, and-or their contractors.

Oncore (formerly Time Industrial) tracks labor, equipment, materials, and other costs for capital and operations-maintenance projects by line item, provides analytics for complex calculations such as comparative contractor performance, and makes all information available in a central repository in real time.

These and other features help provide real-time visibility into project status, help prevent overcharges, flag cost or scheduling problems to allow timely corrective action, and eliminate lengthy reconciliation of contractor invoices and time sheets to contract terms.

Other aspects include reduced postproject audit costs, improved owner-contractor relationships achieved through fewer invoice disputes, and increased accuracy of future estimates based on historical project data maintained in the database, the company notes.

The firm calls Oncore’s ability to track line items in real time a breakthrough in controlling costs as well as a variety of other financial and performance issues.
