The 3,713 sq km block lies in 100 to 3,000 m of water. No drilling has occurred, and only 500 km of 2D seismic have been acquired.

The initial work program will be to acquire a modern conventional seismic grid plus marine magnetotelluric and electromagnetic studies.

KCS Energy Inc., Houston, is running 3 rigs and anticipates drilling 31 wells by the end of 2006 at Terryville field in western Lincoln Parish. One of 4 wells drilled in the quarter ended Mar. 31, Davison 17-1, tested at 4.6 MMcfd. The other 3 wells are in completion. The primary objective at Terryville is gas in Lower Cotton Valley sands.
