PeruUK independents Gold Oil PLC and Plectrum Petroleum PLC plan to explore Block Z-34 in the Talara basin.The 3,713 sq km block lies in 100 to 3,000 m of water. No drilling has occurred, and only 500 km of 2D seismic have been acquired.The initial work program will be to acquire a modern conventional seismic grid plus marine magnetotelluric and electromagnetic studies.LouisianaKCS Energy Inc., Houston, is running 3 rigs and anticipates drilling 31 wells by the end of 2006 at Terryville field in western Lincoln Parish.
