Houston, has named Steven R. Knowles as president, succeeding co-founders/presidents, William G. Higgs, and Paul E. Redmon. Higgs and Redmon will now serve as co-chairmen of Mustang.

Knowles holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. He has more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Mustang 12 years ago, he worked for Chevron, Saudi Aramco, and International Petroleum Corp.

Mustang Engineering, a subsidiary of international energy services company, John Wood Group PLC, specializes in design, engineering, procurement, project management, and construction management for the global oil, gas, and chemical industries.

AlMansoori Specialized Engineering

Abu Dhabi, has announced its expansion into the Egyptian oil and gas market with the acquisition of Cairo-based Alpine Oil Services Egypt.

AlMansoori Specialized Engineering, established in 1977, is a leading regional provider of oil field services in the Middle East. It now has employees working in 15 countries.

Houston, has announced the appointment of Brian Chan as vice-president of sales in Asia Pacific. Chan had previously worked at Ariba, Aspentech, Oracle, and PeopleSoft. He received a professional diploma in marketing and international business from Lingnan University, and is working on his master’s degree in international marketing at Hong Kong University/University of Strathclyde.

Baton Rouge, La., has named Jean Deseilligny as president of the process group within the Shaw Stone & Webster unit.

Deseilligny joins Shaw following 36 years with Technip. He holds a master’s degree in political sciences from the Institut D’Etudes Politiques de Paris, and a PhD from Paris University.
