Leiden, The Netherlands, has named John B. Reed as chief executive officer upon the retiremenet of Hein Mulder. Reed has served in numerous management positions with Heerema since joining the company in 1981.

Heerema Marine Contractors, a fully owned subsidiary of Heerema Group, is a leading marine contractor for the oil and gas industry. The company transports, installs, and removes all types of offshore facilities with three of the four biggest crane vessels in the world.

Halliburton

Houston, has announced that Craig Nunez has been named vice-president and treasurer. He replaces Preston Holsinger, who will remain with Halliburton as vice-president, finance.

Nunez’ 18-year career has spanned 22 countries and a variety of business settings. Since 1999, he has served as treasurer for Colonial Pipeline Co. He earned bachelor’s and JD degrees from Louisiana State University, and an MBA with honors from Duke University.

Halliburton, founded in 1919, is one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the petroleum and energy industries through its Energy Services Group and KBR.

Petris Technology Inc.

Houston, has announced the appointment of Bart Stafford as vice-president of product marketing. Stafford, who previously was with OpenSpirit, holds a BBA degree in business administration and computer science from Stephen F. Austin University.

Petris Technology Inc. provides IT-based solutions for energy clients using its expertise in data management, application hosting, and geospatial information systems.

Det Norske Veritas (DNV)

Høvik, Norway, has announced the appointment of Henrik O. Madsen as chief executive officer upon the retirement of Miklos Konkoly-Thege. Madsen has been with DNV since 1982. He holds a doctorate from the Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby, and a professorship in structural mechanics from the Danish Engineering Academy. He is represented in the US Offshore Energy Hall of Fame for his contribution to the development of risk-based rules for offshore constructions.
