Casillo has held management positions with Elliott since joining the company in 1975. He earned his BSME degree at Union College, Schenectady, NY, and a master’s degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.

Elliott Co. is a global leader in the design and manufacture of gas compressors and steam turbines used in the petrochemical, refining, and LNG markets, as well as in power applications. The company also provides service and repair of rotating machinery.

Premium Drilling

Houston, has appointed Michael F. Pope as vice-president of marketing and contracts, and Anirudha Sunil Pangarkar as vice-president of operations.

Pope, a native of Aberdeen, Scotland, has over 20 years of management experience, and most recently served as manager of marketing and contracts with Noble Drilling.

Pangarkar holds a mechanical engineering degree from Maharaja Sayajirao University, India, and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management, MIT. He has more than 20 years of industry experience, serving as general manager of Schlumberger Drilling Services prior to joining Premium.

Premium Drilling, a drilling contractor, is jointly owned by Awilco Offshore ASA and Sinvest ASA.

Pride International

Houston, has named Brian Voegele as senior vice-president and chief financial officer. Voegele holds a business administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas, and is a certified public accountant. He has held positions with Arthur Young & Co., Transocean Inc., and most recently with Offshore Logistics Inc.

Pride International Inc. is a leading global drilling contractor, operating both onshore and offshore in more than 30 countries.

Wärtsilä Corp.

Helsinki, has announced its acquisition of Gerhardt Holding Co. Inc., headquartered in New Orleans, La. Gerhardt provides control and automation equipment service for both marine and land-based installations in the US, primarily in the Gulf of Mexico.

Wärtsilä Corp. is a leading manufacturer of marine engines and propulsion systems for builders, owners, and operators of vessels and offshore installations.

Bachrach & Wood

Morgan City, La., has announced the promotion of Allen Eschette to vice-president of operations. Eschette has extensive experience in the marine business, and joined Bachrach & Wood as a marine surveyor in 2003.

Bachrach & Wood provides marine survey and consulting services. Though based in an area devastated by hurricanes this year, Bachrach & Wood is available to provide surveys, safety and compliance audits, marine project management for shipyard upgrades, repairs to derrick and lay barges, supply boats, drill rigs, and tugs, as well as logistics management for movement of oil field cargoes offshore and worldwide.

Baker Hughes Inc.

Houston, has announced appointments effective January 1, 2006, of William P. Faubel as president of Baker Atlas, and Charles S. Wolley as president of Centrilift.

Faubel joined Baker Hughes in 1977 as a field engineer with Hughes Christensen, and has held a variety of sales and management positions with the company. He earned his BS degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University.

Wolley holds degrees in operational research and industrial engineering from Cornell University. He joined Baker Hughes in 2004, after 27 years of experience with Dresser Valve & Control, Van Leeuwen Pipe & Tube, Leslie Controls, Spence Engineering, and Watts Industries.

Additionally, Baker Hughes announced it acquisition of Baseline Technologies Inc., a Calgary-based provider of data management products and services for pipeline operators. The company will operate as part of Baker Hughes Pipeline Management Group (PMG), a unit of Baker Petrolite Div.

Baker Hughes Inc. is a leading provider of drilling, formation evaluation, completion, and production products and services to the worldwide oil and gas industry.

Commercial Coating Services International Ltd. (CCSI)

Conroe, Tex., has announced a joint venture agreement with Garneau Inc., Nisku, Alta., Canada, that will contribute to the expansion of CCSI’s field joint coating technology for cold weather application.

The joint venture partners will introduce an automated product that will streamline and improve application methods in extreme conditions encountered on northern pipeline projects. Testing of the system is being conducted at the Gas Technology Institute in Chicago, as well as at Garneau’s Camrose facility.

Garneau Inc.’s primary business is the application of high performance protective coatings and linings for oil and gas pipelines.

Commercial Coating Services International Ltd., a part of the Bayou Companies, specializes in the application of fusion-bonded epoxy coatings to the weld areas of pipelines during installation. They also offer custom coating services for valves, fittings, and odd shaped parts for the oil, gas, and water industries.
