IndonesiaSerica Energy PLC, Toronto, was preparing a development plan after gauging the Kambuna-2 appraisal well in the Malacca Straits 45 km north of Medan, North Sumatra.Perforations in Early Miocene Belumai sandstone at 7,278-7,342 ft ss flowed 17.5 MMcfd of gas and 1,500 b/d of 55° gravity condensate with 2,000 psi flowing wellhead pressure on a 48⁄64-in. choke. Equipment capacity limited the flow rate. TD is 7,963 ft.The 1985 discovery well flowed 13.9 MMcfd and 950 b/d of condensate.Serica is operator with 55% interest in Kambuna-2 through the Glagah Kambuna Technical Assistance Contract.
