Houston, has announced the appointment of John T. Rynd as senior vice-president of the company, and as president of Hercules Drilling Co.

Hercules Offshore LLC

Houston, has announced the appointment of John T. Rynd as senior vice-president of the company, and as president of Hercules Drilling Co., a wholly owned subsidiary specializing in offshore drilling.

Rynd has over 25 years of drilling industry experience, most recently as vice-president of Noble Drilling Services Inc. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he also had held positions with Chiles Offshore and Rowan Drilling Co.

Hercules Offshore LLC owns a fleet of eight jackup drilling rigs, and 39 lifeboats. Formed in 2004, the company offers a range of services to oil and gas producers to meet needs during drilling, well service, platform inspection, maintenance, and decommissioning operations in shallow waters.

Premium Drilling

Houston, has named Michael F. Cadigan as vice-president of health, safety and environment. Cadigan has more than 10 years of experience in the offshore drilling industry, most recently as worldwide manager of HSE for Noble Corp.

Premium Drilling, jointly owned by Awilco Offshore ASA and Sinvest ASA, will operate a fleet of 11 ultra premium jackup drilling units presently under construction in Singapore. Five units will enter the international drilling market during 2006.

T.D. Williamson Inc. (TDW)

Tulsa, has announced the acquisition of Plugging Specialists International ASA (PSI), headquartered in Stavanger. PSI is a leading provider of remote controlled, tetherless pipeline isolation services. Going forward, PSI will be the core company in TDW’s offshore activities and will continue to operate under the PSI brand, but as a wholly integrated part of TDW.

PSI CEO, Christian Eriksson, and founders, Edd Tveit, Kenneth Jekteberg, Jostein Aleksandersen, Harald Syse, and Rush Selden, will remain with the company.

T.D. Williamson Inc. is a leading worldwide supplier of products, services, integrity inspection, and maintenance of pipelines, both onshore and offshore. Founded in 1920, the family-owned company has operations worldwide.

RSI

Grenoble, France, has announced the acquisition of a 25% share of HKD, a Chinese computer application company. The combined expertise of HKD and RSI will expand the company’s process simulation services to the oil & gas, refining, and petrochemicals industries.

HKD, founded in 1994 in Beijing, has experience and expertise providing IT services to the petroleum refining, petrochemicals, and process industries, and is a leading supplier of dynamic simulation in China.

RSI is a fully owned subsidiary of IFP Investissements, belonging to Institut Francais du Petrole. Established in 1981, RSI provides dynamic simulation solutions for engineering studies, operator training, and plant operation in the oil & gas, refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, and power industries.
