Fort Collins, Colo., has announced the appointment of Don Shanfelt as director of operations. Shanfelt holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry, an MBA, and a doctorate in management. He has over 35 years of experience in the public utility emissions and performance management arena, including specific expertise in systems integration project and production management.

HL Technologies (HLT) Inc.

Stafford, Tex., has acquired the seismic service division of Harvey-Lynch Inc. The acquisition combines HLT’s seismic cable and connector manufacturing and repair capabilities with the electronic repair, field service, new, used, and rental equipment for land and marine seismic industry previously offered by Harvey-Lynch.

HLT has announced the appointment of Jim Reavis as sales manager for seismic products.

Nabors Well Services

Houston, is the new name of Pool Well Services. Pool, founded in 1948, was acquired by Nabors Industries in 1999. Besides the name change, the company has a new logo and color scheme, and is upgrading its rig fleet and truck fleet.

Nabors Well Services provides oil and gas well servicing, workover and completion, as well as fluid transportation and disposal services throughout the US.

Bachrach & Wood

Morgan City, La., has announced the opening of new offices near Port Fourchon, La. The new facility offers load-out surveys, mud tank inspections, vessel vetting and safety audits, sea fastening certificates, damage surveys, bunker surveys, DP evaluations, builder’s risk surveys, and general marine consulting.

Houston, has completed the acquisition of Corion Diamond Products Ltd., Nisku, Alta., Canada. Corion is a leading provider of conventional and unconsolidated coring services throughout the Western Hemisphere.

Duoline Technologies

Odessa, Tex., has appointed Paul Jay as general manager. Jay earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Texas Tech University, and has extensive petroleum industry experience.
