Maintenance-free operations are provided via metal-to-metal sealing. The PRM4-E memory gauge can reach as high as 30,000 psi, and its 1,400,000 data point memory helps assure completion of all types of jobs: drillstem testing, buildup, gradients, and bottomhole pressure.

Quick guide to corrosion monitoring

The Quick Reference Guide to Corrosion Monitoring is availabe free on request.

It discusses general and localized corrosion, as well as traditional corrosion monitoring techniques such as mass loss, resistance measurements, polarization resistance, acoustic emission, and ultrasonic examinations.

Automated corrosion monitoring techniques such as linear polarization resistance, harmonic distortion analysis, and electromechanical noise are also reviewed.

New service helps maintain daily operations

Reliability Assurance Services, three new support services now available to the industry, are designed to help ensure the reliability and availability of this firm’s real-time application platform (RTAP).

The new suite of services consists of performance monitoring, system administration, and technical product support. These services provide power generation, utilities, energy, transportation, and process manufacturing users with an integrated and comprehensive support system for monitoring and maintaining the efficient operation of revenue generating assets. For instance, since 1994 RTAP has been running marine monitoring and control systems on five tension-leg platforms in the US Gulf Coast for one E&P company.

Performance monitoring services enable continuous real-time monitoring of installed RTAP systems. System administration services offer RTAP specialists who act as the customer’s virtual system administrator. Two technical product support options-standard (1 year contract) and premium (3 year contract) comprehensive support-provide customers with a range of expertise to ensure optimal performance of mission-critical applications, the company says.
