Pressure transmitter OK to use in hazardous locations

This new PT-L1 dynamically compensated pressure transmitter is now cCSAus approved for use in hazardous locations.

An intrinsically safe model is available to satisfy Class I, Div. I, Groups A, B, C, and D environments. An explosionproof model is also available to satisfy Class I, Div. I, Groups C and D; Class II, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III environments.

The PT-L1 family offers a solid state transducer element with a DIN electrical connection, ½-14 NPTM process connection and standard 4-20 ma output. Units provide ±0.25% accuracy of full scale and are available in standard ranges of 0-5,000 psi. Other process and electrical connections are available.

The company says its transmitters are precision engineered to provide accurate and reliable measurement in harsh oil field pressure measurement uses.

Heat resistance to as high as 500° F./260° C. coupled with chemical resistance and lubricity help make TexFluor PTFE suited for chemical and corrosive applications. TexFluor PTFE tubes offer one of the lowest coefficient of any polymer, suiting it for uses where flow restriction cannot be compromised, the firm points out. PTFE’s composition also suits it for sampling equipment due to its’ nonleeching properties at elevated temperatures. And when additives are mixed into the resin, PTFE is suited for handling explosive fluid transfer applications.
