Houston, has appointed David H. Barr as group president of drilling and evaluation, and Douglas J. Wall as group president of completions and production.

The new drilling and evaluation group includes Baker Atlas, Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids, Hughes Christensen, and Inteq. Martin S. Craighead has been appointed president of Baker Atlas, filling the position previously held by Barr. Paul S. Butero has been appointed president of Hughes Christensen, succeeding Trevor M. Burgess, who has left the company.

The new completions and production group consists of Baker Oil Tools, Baker Petrolite, and Centrilift. Chris P. Beaver has been appointed president of Baker Oil Tools, succeeding Wall in that position.

Barr began his career with Hughes Tool Co. in 1972 after completing his BS degree in mechanical engineering at Texas Tech University.

Wall earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary, and an MBA from the University of Alberta. He has held a variety of senior executive positions with oil field services companies in Canada.

Craighead holds a BS degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Pennsylvania State University, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He joined Baker Atlas in 1986 and has held a number of operational positions including assignments in Canada, Latin America, and Asia.

Butero earned his BS degree at the University of Colorado, and has been with Baker Hughes since 1981.

Beaver joined Baker Hughes in 1985, and has held financial and accounting positions at Inteq and Hughes Christensen in the US and Eastern Hemisphere. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from the University of Newcastle, and an MBA from Aberdeen University.

Exponent Inc.

Houston, has named Paul Kronfield as client services manager, energy and petrochemical. Kronfield has more than 30 years of industry experience, including service as president/CEO of Oceanprobe Inc., deputy general manager of Petrocorp Exploration China, and business development manager of Intec Engineering. He holds a BS degree in physical oceanography from the University of Washington-Seattle.

KBR

Houston, has opened its newest engineering center in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Jakarta center is part of KBR’s Energy & Chemicals Div., and will be headed by Pete Wiggin, director. Wiggin previously was based in KBR’s Monterrey, Mexico, engineering center.

KBR has over 30 years of project execution experience in Indonesia in offshore oil and gas, liquefied natural gas, and the petrochemical, fertilizer, and refinery industries.

KBR, the engineering and construction subsidiary of Halliburton Inc., employs more than 60,000 people in 43 countries.

Petro-Chem Development Co. Inc.

New York, has elected Patrick S. Chang as vice-president in charge of contract management, and Donald D. Worman as vice-president over corporate production engineering.

Petro-Chem’s Korean subsidiary, Petro-Chem Korea Co. Ltd., has elected Il Boo Choi as chairman, and YongHo Roh as vice-president of operations.

Petro-Chem Development Co. Inc., established in 1939, is a leading supplier of process heaters and furnaces to oil refineries, petrochemical and chemical plants.

Aberdeen, has appointed Jeff Skelly as president of Expro Americas Inc., based in Houston. Skelly, a graduate in civil and ocean engineering, has 25 years of oil field experience, and joins Expro from Halliburton Energy Services.

Expro International Group PLC is a leading upstream oil and gas technology and service provider, specializing in well performance and production optimization.

BJ Services Co.

Aberdeen, has appointed Alan Pillar as well services manager for the UK, within the Well Services Div.-Europe and Africa region. He replaces Stuart Murphy, who has returned to Canada, where he works as northern district operations manager of fracturing services for BJ Services in Grande Prairie, Alta.

Pillar has worked for BJ Services since 1996, when the company acquired Nowsco, where he had worked in a variety of positions since 1990.
