Baker Hughes Inc. Houston, has announced the appointment of James R. Rod Clark as president and chief operating officer.

Houston, has announced the appointment of James R. Rod Clark as president and chief operating officer. He joined Baker Hughes in 2001 as president of Baker Petrolite, and most recently served as vice-president of marketing and technology of Baker Hughes.

Clark holds BS and MBA degrees from the University of Texas. He previously held positions with Consolidated Equipment Co. Inc., Sperry-Sun, FMC Corp., Schlumberger, and Grace Energy Corp.

Flotation Technologies Inc.

Biddeford, Me., has appointed Fred Maguire as sales and marketing manager. Maguire has more than 11 years of experience in sales, marketing, and management positions.

Natural Gas Services Group Inc.

Midland, Tex., has named Ronald D. Bingham as vice-president to oversee northern operations, and S. Craig Rogers as vice-president to oversee southern operations. Additionally, William F. Hughes has been appointed to the company's board of directors.

Bingham, a member of the Michigan Oil & Gas Association, most recently was president of Great Lakes Compression.

Rogers previously was with Rotary Gas Systems Inc.

Hughes, a graduate of the US Air Force Academy, with an advanced degree in engineering from the University of California, is a registered civil engineer.

Natural Gas Services Group Inc. manufactures, sells, and services natural gas compressors, and manufactures and sells flare systems and flare ignition systems for plant and production facilities.

Pride International Inc.

Houston, has announced the appointment of John C.G. O'Leary as president, and John R. Blocker Jr. as senior vice-president of operations

O'Leary, who has been with Pride since 1985, previously served as vice-president of international marketing.

Blocker has 33 years of oil industry experience, and joined Pride in 1993.

Pride International Inc. provides onshore and offshore drilling and related services in more than 30 countries.

Mustang Engineering LP and Syntroleum Corp.

Houston and Tulsa, respectively, have signed an agreement whereby Mustang will provide full-service design, engineering, procurement, and construction services to Syntroleum and to Syntroleum licensees for facilities utilizing the Syntroleum Process, a proprietary technology that converts natural gas or synthesis gas derived from coal into synthetic crude oil.

Mustang recently completed Syntroleum's 70 b/d demonstration facility in Oklahoma that was designed and constructed under the Department of Energy's ultra-clean fuels program.

Tenaris plans to continue investing in the mill, with the goal of making it the primary source of high quality pipes for the Canadian oil and gas industry.

Tenaris SA is a leading global manufacturer of seamless steel pipe products, and provides pipe handling, stocking, and distribution services, as well as supplying welded steel pipes for gas pipelines in South America.

Veritas DGC Inc.

Houston, has appointed Thierry Pilenko chairman of the board and chief executive officer, subject to finalization of certain documentation. He replaces David B. Robson, who is retiring after almost 30 years with Veritas and its predecessors.

Pilenko most recently was managing director of SchlumbergerSema, located in Paris. He has been employed by affiliates of Schlumberger Ltd. since 1982.
