Before joining PGS in 1997, Eng held a variety of positions with Fugro-Geoteam, including a board position in Sevoteam, a Russian-Norwegian joint operating company. Eng joined PGS as area Manager Scandinavia, and then was named president Europe, Africa, and Middle East. He has a bachelor's degree in applied geophysics from University of Oslo, and an MS degree from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.

Petroleum Geo-Services is a technologically focused oil field service company principally involved in geophysical and floating production services. PGS provides a broad range of seismic and reservoir services, including acquisition, processing, interpretation, and field evaluation.

Baker Hughes Inc.

Houston, has announced the appointment of Chad C. Deaton as chairman of the board and chief executive officer, replacing the current chairman/CEO, Mike Wiley, who is retiring.

Deaton, who holds a BS degree in geology from the University of Wyoming, most recently was CEO and president of Hanover Compressor. He has over 27 years of oil field services experience with Dowell Div. of Dow Chemical, Schlumberger Ltd., and Hanover.

Baker Hughes Inc. is a leading provider of drilling, formation evaluation, completion, and production products and services to the worldwide oil and gas industry.

Fusion Geophysical LLC

Norman, Okla., has formed a software company named FusionGeo Inc., a sister company to Fusion Petroleum Technologies Inc. Lih Kuo, previously vice-president of special projects for Fusion Petroleum Technologies Inc., is president of the new company, which is head-quartered in Dallas.

FusionGeo Inc. will focus on development and commercialization of Fusion's many unique software products.

IBM Global Services

Moscow, has appointed Robert Gruman as oil and gas upstream leader of IBM Business Consulting Services (BCS) throughout Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Prior to relocating to Moscow from Houston, Gruman was the leader of IBM BCS' business intelligence group for chemical and petroleum in the Americas. He began his career with Conoco, and subsequently joined PwC Consulting, which was acquired by IBM in 2002.

IBM Global Services is a major information technology services provider and integrates IBM's broad range of services, hardware, software, and research to help meet the IT needs of a wide range of customers.

Delta Environmental Consultants Inc.

St. Paul, Minn., has announced its acquisition of InteGreyted International, based in Albany, N.Y. This acquisition strategically combines the two largest global HSSE networks through Inogen Environmental Alliance Inc., and InteGreyted's proprietary global network, GlobalNetEHS. Delta also obtains IntelligentEHS, an advanced EHS management system.

Delta Environmental Consultants Inc. is a full service, global consulting firm specializing in the management of health, safety, security, and environment problems for petroleum and multinational industrial clients. Founded in 1986, the company is 100% employee owned, with 700 employees and 45 offices in the U.S., plus a global network of 2,000 employees.

Grant Prideco Inc.

Houston, has named Sidney Smith Jr. as vice-president of sales and marketing for the Tubular Technology & Services Div., and Steve Berkman as marketing manager for ReedHycalog.

Smith has more than 20 years of experience in sales and business development at Schlumberger, and with Camco International Inc. prior to its acquisition by Schlumberger. He earned a bachelor's degree in international marketing and management from Baylor University.

Berkman earned a BS degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas, and began his career as a design engineer for Reed Tool Co. He has more than 22 years of industry experience. He replaces Greg Petterson, who has been named regional manager in Calgary.
