ExxonMobil Corp. reported that it plans to make the following appointments to the company's corporate structure, effective Oct. 1:

ExxonMobil Corp. reported that it plans to make the following appointments to the company's corporate structure, effective Oct. 1:

Stuart R. McGill, currently president, ExxonMobil Production Co., is to be elected a senior vice-president.

Succeeding McGill will be Morris E. Foster, currently president, ExxonMobil Development Co. (EMDC) In addition, it is anticipated that Foster will be elected as a vice-president.

Mark W. Albers, currently executive assistant to the chairman of ExxonMobil, will succeed Foster as president of EMDC.

Other upstream moves

Shell Exploration & Production Co. has named Frank Glaviano production director for EP Americas. In this position, Glaviano will lead production activities in the Americas, including current areas of activity in the Gulf of Mexico, onshore North America, Brazil, and Venezuela.

Glaviano joined Shell in 1976 as a production engineer working several major assets in the gulf. Glaviano has held various engineering and operations managerial positions at Shell, including development engineering manager, offshore ventures manager, and shelf asset manager.

Most recently, Glaviano served as the firm's Gulf of Mexico east asset manager, where he was responsible for the operations of the Mars, Ursa, and Ram-Powell tension leg platforms.

The company also named Annell Bay regional exploration director for EP Americas.

Bay joins Shell from Kerr-McGee Corp., where she was vice-president, worldwide exploration.

Prior to joining Kerr-McGee, Bay worked as an exploration geologist with Royal Dutch/Shell Group, Chevron Corp., Standard Oil Co. of Ohio, and Oryx Energy Co., which was acquired by Kerr-McGee in 1999.

ConocoPhillips has named Gregory Goff president of its exploration and production operations in the US Lower 48 and Latin America.

Goff joined the company in 1981 and has served in several positions in

ConocoPhillips's supply, distribution, transportation, and trading businesses. Following the Conoco Inc.-Phillips Petroleum Co. merger in 2002, Goff became president, international downstream—a position he held until assuming his current role.

Larry Anderson has been named president and general manager of BG Kazakhstan, a unit of BG Group PLG.

Anderson replaces David Simmons, former president and general director.

Anderson worked for 30 years with Texaco Inc. (now ChevronTexaco Corp.) heading the restoration of oil fields in Kuwait and coordinating Texaco's entry into the Karachaganak project in Kazakhstan.

Houston-based Texen Oil & Gas Inc. has named Michael Sims president and CEO.

Sims has worked with TOG in various capacities since its inception, most recently serving as vice-president.

Sims will succeed Tatiana Golovina, who will resign but who remains the largest individual TOG shareholder.
