Houston, has announced that its EPI Consultants division has named Les Skinner as vice-president division manager.

Houston, has announced that its EPI Consultants division has named Les Skinner as vice-president division manager. Skinner has over 35 years of oil industry experience, starting as a roustabout with Phillips Petroleum Co. He is a chemical engineering graduate of Texas Tech University, and spent 20 years as a drilling, completions, and production engineer in various locations before becoming a well control engineer in 1990. He holds three US patents.

EPI Consultants was formed by Cudd Pressure Control Inc. in response to a need for engineering and project management personnel who are available as consultants on a project-by-project basis.

Flint Energy Services Ltd.

Calgary, has announced the following executive appointments: Flint Energy Services Inc. (FESI) president, Gary Foreman, will relocate from Tulsa to Calgary to assume the role of senior vice-president of production services.

Succeeding Foreman as president of FESI is Paul Boechler, formerly executive vice-president.

Tim O'Brien has been named senior vice-president of corporate services, transferring from a similar position in production services.

Flint Energy Services Ltd., and its US operation Flint Energy Services Inc., provide a full range of integrated midstream production services through western Canada and southern and midwestern US regions.

Grant Prideco Inc.

Houston, has appointed Dan Latham to the new position of vice-president for industry relations and account development. Additionally, David Black has assumed the presidency of drilling products & services div. Black formerly served as president of the tubular technology & services div. Walt Czaus will serve as interim manager of the tubular technology & services div until a permanent appointment is announced.

Nabors Industries Ltd.

St. Michael, Barbados, has announced the promotion of Joe M. Hudson to the position of president of Nabors Drilling LP. Hudson is a 1975 graduate of North Texas State University, and has over 30 years of experience in oil and gas contract drilling and related businesses. He succeeds Larry Heidt, who assumes a new position with Nabors as special assistant to Nabors' chairman and CEO, Gene Isenberg, and deputy chairman/president/COO, Tony Petrello.

The Nabors companies own and operate a large number of land andoffshore rigs, and marine and transpor-tation support vessels. Nabors also manufactures top drives and drilling instrumentation systems, and provides comprehensive oil field hauling, engineering, civil construction, logistics and facilities maintenance, and project management services.

Wood Mackenzie

Edinburgh, Scotland, has announced the appointment of Nick Kamen as executive director of marketing and communications. Kamen will also join the board. He has over 10 years of marketing management experience.

Wood Mackenzie is a supplier of strategic research and knowledge-based consulting to the energy and life science industries globally.

Strata Technology Ltd.

Sunbury, UK, has appointed Steve Petridis as chief executive officer, replacing Strata founding managing director John Bassett, who will remain as a consultant until his retirement next year.

Petridis is an electrical engineering graduate of the University of Salford, received an MS in power systems from UMist, and completed his MBA at Cranfield. Fluent in five languages, Petridis has spent the last 10 years in the US with Shell companies, and most recently with AMCS Corp.

Originally the core of British Petroleum's in-house engineering support operation, Strata Technology Ltd. was created by a management buyout in 1998. The company provides project and design services for research and development scientists and engineers in the petroleum, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Additionally, the company's accredited inspection and calibration teams advise on statutory requirements, and carry out preventive maintenance examinations, plus certification of plant and equipment for health, safety, and environment assurance.

Baker Hughes Inc. (BHI)

Houston, has announced the creation of a new division, Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids, formed from fluids businesses formerly part of the Inteq division. President of the new division is John A. O'Donnell. Inteq will continue to be led by Ray A. Ballantyne.

O'Donnell, who joined Hughes Tool Co. in 1975, holds a BS degree from the University of California, and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids supplies drilling fluids, completion fluids, industrial fluids, and fluids environmental services to the worldwide oil and gas industry.
