Naersnes, Norway, has elected Claus Kampmann as chairman of the board of directors. Kampmann held a number of executive level positions during his 29-year career with Schlumberger.

TGS-NOPEC is a leading global provider of multi-client geoscience data and associated products and services to the oil and gas industry.

Vidus

Ipswich, UK, has announced the appointment of Martin Knestrick as chief executive officer. Knestrick brings over 20 years of experience in the high tech industry, and has held a variety of board-level and executive positions, managing companies in different technology areas and in many geographies.

Vidus, formerly a.p.solve, is a spinout from BT Brightstar, and specializes in field service automation software. The company currently serves customers in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain.

C&C Reservoirs

Houston, has announced the addition of Robert Trice, an expert in carbonate and fractured reservoirs, to its team of specialists. Trice, who holds a PhD from London University, has 20 years of industry experience in the integration and application of geological and petrophysical data. He will work in C&C's London office.

C&C Reservoirs is a leading provider of geologic analogs to the upstream petroleum industry through its web-deliverable Digital Analogst knowledge system.

Aberdeen, has announced four key personnel appointments as part of its expansion program. Simon Sawers is a new partner, while Lewis Woollett, and John Davidson join the company as associate partners. Iain Menmuir also has been appointed associate partner to head the company's new office in Edinburgh.

Sawers is a chartered engineer, with an MS in change management. Woollett has more than 15 years of senior management experience. Davidson specializes in IT strategy and knowledge management. Menmuir's experience has been with a variety of engineering companies in the technology and life science sector.

Z-Seis Corp.

Houston, is a new company formed by the founders and former owners and operators of TomoSeis Corp. Z-Seis uses advanced borehole seismic (crosswell) technology to develop detailed reservoir information. Its services include survey design; data acquisition, processing, and interpretation; and incorporating data into clients' models.

TomoSeis was acquired in 2000 by Core Laboratories. Z-Seis was formed for the purpose of purchasing Core Laboratories' borehole seismic assets, and becoming an independent supplier of diverse reservoir seismic services. Z-Seis continues to work jointly with Core Laboratories on select seismic surveying projects.
