Overland Park, Kan., has announced the appointment of Bob Germinder as president of the Gas, Oil & Chemicals (GOC) Div., upon the retirement of Wayne F. Hall.

Houston, has announced its 2004-05 slate of officers. They are: Craig Ketchum, president and CEO of Red Man Pipe & Supply Co., chairman; Robert L. Black & Veatch Corp.

Overland Park, Kan., has announced the appointment of Bob Germinder as president of the Gas, Oil & Chemicals (GOC) Div., upon the retirement of Wayne F. Hall.

Germinder earned a BS degree in construction technology at Bowling Green State University, and joined Black & Veatch in 1985. He most recently was senior vice-president of operations for GOC.

Black & Veatch Corp., founded in 1915, is a leading global engineering, consulting, and construction company specializing in infrastructure development in the fields of energy, water, and information.

ICF Consulting

Dallas, has named David Pickles as vice-president for energy policy and programs in the Southern region. Pickles has over 15 years of experience, most recently with PHI Management Consultants, and Navigant Consulting. He holds a BS degree in economics, and an MS in regulatory economics from the University of Wyoming.

ICF Consulting is a leading management, technology, and policy consulting firm serving clients in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Africa.

GE Energy

Atlanta, has opened an office in Luanda, Angola, to serve oil and gas industry customers throughout West Africa. Paolo Marra, West Africa area manager, will manage the new office.

GE Energy's oil and gas operations are based in Florence, Italy. The company also has announced plans to open a regional oil and gas training center in Nigeria.

GE Energy is a leading supplier of power generation and energy delivery technology.

Offshore Logistics Inc.

Lafayette, La., has elected William E. Chiles as president, chief executive officer, and member of the board of directors. He replaces George M. Small, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Chiles'successful career in the global offshore drilling business began in 1972 with Western Oceanic Inc. He co-founded Chiles Offshore Inc. in 1997 and served as its president, CEO, and director. Most recently, he served as executive vice-president and COO of Grey Wolf Inc., a major onshore oil and gas drilling company.

Offshore Logistics Inc. is a major provider of helicopter transportation services to the oil and gas industry worldwide.

QuantX Wellbore Instrumentation Ltd.

Aberdeen, has announced the acquisition of UK-based Plus Design Ltd., a key in-well electronic monitoring research and development technology company.

QuantX Wellbore Instrumentation Ltd. is a joint venture company between Expro International Group PLC and Baker Hughes Inc., and is a leading provider of downhole monitoring systems and services to the global oil and gas industry.

Aramark

Aberdeen, has appointed Jenny Savage as vice-president of operations for its International Offshore Div., based in Houston. Savage has worked for Aramark in the US for five years.

Aramark is the largest offshore caterer in the North Sea, providing full hotel services for crews on offshore rigs, platforms, and vessels. The company provides the same services in West Africa, the Caspian region, and the Gulf of Mexico.

Peak Group

Aberdeen, has named Hugh Mackay as business development director, based in the group's new London office. A Sloan fellow from London Business School, Mackay has 18 years of industry experience as a geologist with BP, and more recently with Enterprise Oil.
