Provost has extensive experience with engineering, procurement, construction, and installation projects. He previously served as a senior project engineer with Atlantia Offshore Ltd. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, La., and has graduate hours in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.

Raatz had previously worked as a hookup and commissioning engineer, a facilities project engineer, and a topsides engineering manager on projects on which he was an independent contractor. He earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University, and completed graduate courses in metallurgical engineering at the University of Oklahoma.

Houston, has acquired Edinburgh Petroleum Services Ltd. (EPS), producer of state-of-the-art intelligent asset management software.

BJ Services Co

Aberdeen, has promoted Gary Young to area operations manager-Latin America for BJ Tubular Services. Among his responsibilities is management of the division's bases in Trinidad, Macae, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

BJ Tubular Services specializes in personnel and equipment for running casing and tubing.

BJ Services Co. is a leading provider of pressure pumping and related oil field services.

Dallas, has elected Paul C. Gregory as its 58th president. Gregory is president and CEO of Gregory & Cook Construction Inc.

Pipe Line Contractors Association, founded in 1948, represents substantially all the major mainline pipeline construction companies in the US.

Belle Chase, La., has named Kenneth B. Shaw Thompson as president and chief executive officer. Thompson, who began his career with Oil Mop's original owners in 1978, returns to the company after founding and managing his own emergency response firms.

Oil Mop LLC, established nearly 40 years ago, was one of the first firms in the Gulf South to specialize in 24-hour oil spill emergency response, and now is one of the largest.

Pride International Inc.

Houston, has appointed Imran Ron Toufeeq as vice-president of engineering and technical services, Mario Kricorian as vice-president of Latin American operations, and Jonathan Talbot as vice-president of marketing.

Toufeeq holds BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering, and an MBA, all from the University of Houston. He was employed for 20 years by R&B Falcon.

Kricorian earned a doctorate in public accounting from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He has been with Pride and its predecessors since 1970.

Talbot received a BS degree in mining engineering from University College-Cardiff, and an MBA from Warwick Business School, both in the UK. He has been with Pride since 1990.
