Lohr, Germany, has announced the appointment of Manfred Grundke as president upon the retirement of Winfried Witte. Grundke, a mechanical engineer, joined Mannesmann Rexroth GmbH in 1984.

Bosch Rexroth Corp., a merger of Bosch Automation Technology and Rexroth, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. The company's business units include industrial hydraulics, electric drives and controls, linear motion and assembly technologies, pneumatics, service automation, and mobile hydraulics.

Wellcut Inc.

Norwich, UK, has announced the appointment of Lance Davis as managing director. Davis has 28 years of service with Schlumberger, where he most recently was responsible for managing the Aberdeen-based drilling, well construction, and decommissioning operations. He also has worked for Ford Motor Co. and BHP.

Wellcut Inc., a UWG Group company, provides cutting and abandonment services to the offshore oil and gas industry.

Houston, has announced that Mark Jackson has joined the group as senior vice-president, quantitative services. Jackson has more than 20 years of trading and risk management experience. His expertise includes computer modeling of derivative processes, risk management system development, option pricing and trading while with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He holds a BA and MBA from the University of Chicago and attended the finance PhD program at Northwestern University.

Petrofac Ltd.

London, has created a new training division with the acquisition of Aberdeen-based RGIT Montrose Holdings Ltd. Petrofac Training will comprise RGIT Montrose and Chrysalis Learning, which was acquired in 2003, and will be led by Murray Strachan, managing director, Martin Beard, international & development director, and Scott Martin, finance director. Louise Ferguson, managing director of Chrysalis Learning, will also be a director of Petrofac Training.

Petrofac Ltd. is a surface facilities solutions provider serving the oil production, refining, natural gas, and petrochemical industries. Capabilities include process design, detailed engineering, project management, worldwide procurement, fabrication and assembly of process modules, construction, commissioning and operation of process plants.

ABS Co.

Houston, has named Todd Grove as president of its ABS Americas Div., replacing Robert E. Kramek, who assumes the role of president and COO of ABS. Grove has been with ABS for 21 years. He earned a BS degree from the University of Michigan naval architecture and marine engineering program, and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Soconord SA

Brussels, has installed a drill pipe assembly line facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai. With a capacity of approximately 4000 joints per month, Soconord's installation covers the range 27/8" to 51/2" in the traditional grades E-75, G-105 and S-135, and develops higher grades (sour gas) and proprietary tool-joints. A delegation headed by HRH Prince Philippe, crown prince of Belgium, attended the inauguration of the facility. Soconord SA is a worldwide supplier of steel tubular products for the oil, gas, and water industries.
