He holds a BA and MBA from the University of Chicago and attended the finance PhD program at Northwestern University.

He earned a BS degree from the University of Michigan naval architecture and marine engineering program, and an MBA from the University of Houston.
Replacing Grove as vice-president of Western region, ABS Europe, is Karel Van Campenhout.

Brussels, has installed a drill pipe assembly line facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai. With a capacity of approximately 4000 joints per month, Soconord's installation covers the range 27/8" to 51/2" in the traditional grades E-75, G-105 and S-135, and develops higher grades (sour gas) and proprietary tool-joints. A delegation headed by HRH Prince Philippe, crown prince of Belgium, attended the inauguration of the facility. Soconord SA is a worldwide supplier of steel tubular products for the oil, gas, and water industries.
