Maximum cut capacity for the newly released system is 11/2 in. (38 mm). It delivers gouging capabilities at a rate in excess of 22 lb/hr. Increased cut quality and efficiency are assured through 100 amp-16 kw output.

It incorporates the firm's patented G3 technological advances. Autovoltage input sensing allows operation at 200-600 v, three-phase, with no rewiring. Boost Conditioner circuitry compensates for any voltage variation with a digitally controlled converter that delivers adjustable constant current output at 30-100 amp.

ETR (easy torch removal) allows the operator easy switching between hand and machine torches, the firm points out.

New multichannel gas and fire monitoring system

A new multichannel gas and fire monitoring system is available in four configurations.

As well as a standard wall-mounted unit in its own enclosure, the Vortex system can be specified in modular versions for incorporation into a variety of specialist enclosures or larger cabinet-based safety systems.

All versions share the same internal components to provide up to 12 gas detection channels, including up to 3 for fire, as well as 24 user-configurable relay outputs to drive external alarms and safety equipment.

Its simple modular configuration, suited for use where a display panel is not required, consists of the essential input, output, and controller modules mounted on a Modbus data transfer rail. An additional rail can be supplied to increase the number of outputs to 32.

This configuration is suited for confined spaces or specialist enclosures such as flameproof housings.

The system combines these essential modules with a standard 19 in. rack fascia featuring button controls and visual status indicators.

Designed for integration into existing rack enclosures, this configuration can be used to replace gas monitoring systems or to introduce gas detection to other types of rack-mounted equipment.

Also the system is designed for flush mounting in a door or panel in nonrack enclosures.

Seismic processing system update available

Version 3.8 of GLOBE Claritas, a complete 2D and 3D land and marine seismic processing system, is on the market.

It's available for UNIX and LINUX, equally capable of processing 2D and 3D oil exploration surveys, wide-angle deep crustal seismic experiments, and ground penetrating radar data.

Designed as a flexible seismic processing system and platform for seismic processing research, version 3.8 offers:

  • Spreadsheet-based substitution of seismic processing parameters.
  • Multiple production runs to be set up in seconds.
  • Reduced time taken for complex testing sequences.
  • Parameter spreadsheets to be directly updated by processing jobs.
  • Quality control information.
  • Decreased run time for key processing modules.
  • New seismic difference window and interactive display.
  • Interactive wavelet extraction and Wiener wavelet matching filters.
  • New Parabolic Radon Demultiple module.
  • Power spectral display and amplitude histogram display.
  • LINUX support for disk files greater than 2 Gbytes.
  • Upgrades to interactive 3C particle rotation analysis.
  • Macro operator functionality added to the wavelet processing package.

New hollow shaft encoder

The Series 17 hollow shaft incremental encoder is certified to CENELEC standards with classifications for EEx ia IIC T4 for use in all zones-divisions and in the presence of any type of gas.

It is certified as ATEX compliant (SIRA 00ATEX2085) for use in areas where explosive gases are continuously present and offers ingress protection to IP66.
