Luxembourg, has elected Paolo Rocca as chairman of the board. Rocca adds this position to his current role as chief executive officer.

Additionally, Tenaris announced that it has acquired all shares and ADS of Tubos de Acero de Mexico SA (Tamsa) that it did not own before.

Tenaris SA is a leading global manufacturer of seamless steel pipe products, and provider of pipe handling, stocking, and distribution services to the oil and gas, energy, and mechanical industries; and is a leading regional supplier of welded steel pipes for gas pipelines in South America. The company has manufacturing facilities in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and Venezuela, and customer service centers in over 20 countries.

Transfer Systems International (UK) Ltd.

Aberdeen, has announced the acquisition of Nu-Tec Inc., a Lake Charles, La.-based provider of patented rental tools and services to the offshore drilling industry.

Transfer Systems International (TSI) provides environmental and drilling services to North Sea drilling operations.

The acquisition of Nu-Tec by TSI will accelerate international growth of both companies' product lines.

Halliburton

Houston, has named Mark McCollum as senior vice-president and chief accounting officer, a newly created position. McCollum previously worked for Tenneco. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Baylor University, and is a certified public accountant in Texas.

Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the petroleum and energy industries.

J-W Operating Co.

Dallas, has announced the combination of its measurement subsidiaries to become J-W Measurement Co. Included are Metron Gas Measurement, Parkline Arrow, B-J Supply, and Scott Equipment Co. R.G. Owston will remain as president of J-W Measurement.

J-W Measurement Co. provides engineered measurement packages, field service, laboratory analysis, chart integration, fabrication of measurement skids and packages, EFM installation and repair, and related parts and services to US customers from the lower Gulf Coast to the Rocky Mountains.

Labtech Modular Engineering

Aberdeen, has appointed Mike Duckett as operations director, Norman Porter as a project engineer, and Ashley Thomson as business development manager.

Duckett had experience managing companies in the UK and overseas before joining Labtech.

Porter brings 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to his new post.

Thomson is an honors graduate in mechanical engineering, with comprehensive knowledge of various aspects of engineering.

Additionally, Labtech announced its acceptance onto Scottish Enterprise's Globalization Program. Under the program, Labtech will receive assistance to expand into international markets.

Labtech Modular Engineering specializes in the design, manufacture, repair, refurbishment, and hire of containerized and skid-mounted equipment that is well suited to operation in highly arduous and hazardous conditions.

J. Ray McDermott SA

Houston, has named Gay Stanley Mayeux as vice-president, controller. Mayeux most recently served as general manager of information technology and corporate communications for McDermott International Inc. She will retain responsibility for the information technology functions of McDermott's corporate office and J. Ray McDermott.

Mayeux earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi, and is a certified public accountant.

Mustang Engineers & Constructors

Houston, has named Steve Beeston as business development manager in its process plants group. Beeston has almost 25 years of experience in sales and sales management positions in the process plants segment of the oil and gas industry.

Mustang Engineers & Constructors, a Wood Group company, specializes in design, engineering, procurement, project management, and construction management of upstream oil and gas facilities and structures, midstream projects, process plants, pipelines, and automation and control projects.

OPS Group Ltd.

Aberdeen, has acquired Coiltec Well Service Support Ltd., an oil, gas, and pipeline recruitment consultancy based in Great Yarmouth, England. Coiltec founder, Andy Lodge, will serve as operations manager of Coiltec.

Coiltec specializes in supplying experienced contract personnel for projects including process and pipeline services, well test and wireline services, well intervention, and pumping services.

OPS Group Ltd. is a leading personnel provider to the international oil and gas industry.

Stratos Global Corp.

Bethesda, Md., has appointed James Parm as president and chief executive officer. Parm, who has served the last three years as COO, succeeds retiring Carmen Lloyd.

Parm began his career with Shell Oil Co. in 1981, and served as president of Shell Offshore Services Co. just prior to joining Stratos.

Stratos Global Corp. is an international telecommunication services provider, offering a variety of satellite and microwave wireless technologies to customers operating in remote locations.

US Filter

Houston, has been named recipient of two "Contractor Awards for Meritorious Safety Performance" by the National Petroleum Refiners Association. The two US Filter-managed water and wastewater treatment facilities are located at ConocoPhillips Petroleum Co.'s refinery/Excel Petrolubes, and at the Westlake petrochemical complex of Westlake Petrochemicals/Styrene Corp., both in Lake Charles, La. At both sites, the recordable incidence rate was zero, with approximately 22,000 hours worked in 2002.
