The Woodlands, Tex., has made several announcements recently. Martin Shields, formerly with Exxon and Santa Fe Indonesia, has been named vice-president of integrated interpretation. In this role, Shields manages technology and services provided by FPTI in all aspects of seismic interpretation, regional and basin studies, and reservoir studies.

FPTI and Epic Geophysical, Houston, have formed a strategic alliance to provide their clients with a completely integrated processing, time imaging, and seismic analysis stream. As part of the alliance, Wulf Massell, president of Epic, will also join the Fusion Reservoir Associates.

Additionally, Alan R. Huffman, president and CEO of FPTI and vice-president of operations for parent Fusion Geophysical LLC, has accepted appointment to an endowed professorship in geology and geophysics at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Okla. Huffman will teach upper level undergraduate and graduate level classes, and will supervise graduate student research.

Bayou Companies

New Iberia, La., has named David Boulet as director of business development. Boulet previously worked as director of oil & gas/energy technologies for the State of Louisiana, and had 11 years of experience with Cameron Div. of Cooper Cameron Corp. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

In another announcement, Volodimir Gnativ has joined the IT staff of CCSI, one of the Bayou Companies, in Conroe, Tex. Gnativ earned a master's degree in physics in his native Ukraine, and earned an MBA in the US.

The Bayou Companies LLC is a service provider to the global pipeline industry.

BJ Process and Pipeline Services

Aberdeen, has appointed Ewen Kleppang as area manager-Northern Europe and West Africa, and Julian Manning as area manager-Continental Europe and North Africa.

Kleppang has been with BJ PPS since 1990, and has held a variety of positions with the company. He is based in Aberdeen.

Manning also joined BJ PPS in 1990. He is based in Great Yarmouth.

BJ Process and Pipelines Services is a division of BJ Services Co., a leading provider of pressure pumping and related oil field services.

Sago Energy LLC

Sugar Land, Tex., has named J. Michael Urban as vice-president and chief financial officer. Urban earned his BBA in accounting from the University of Texas and is a certified public accountant.

Sago Energy LLC is an independent full service company providing processing, gathering, marketing and other related services for the midstream segment of the petroleum industry.

Lafayette, La., has named Neil McKay as general manager. McKay holds degrees in mechanical and offshore engineering, a PG Dip. in computer applications in engineering, and a master's degree in offshore engineering from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

WellCut Inc. is a member of UWG Group, a Norwich, UK-based provider of equipment and engineering solutions for rigless well decommissioning and subsea structures, fixed and flexible riser analysis, and well construction project management.
