The SlimXtreme well logging platform integrates advanced sensors, telemetry, and wireline delivery technology that are rated to 500° F. and 30,000 psi into a single wireline system that can log ultradeep wells (deeper than 35,000 ft) with borehole diameters as small as 37/8 in.

The real-time measurements acquired by this system are comparable to those from standard logs and include array induction imager tool (AIT) resistivity, formation photoelectric absorption cross section, bulk density, thermal neutron porosity, and gamma ray.

Tool output is enhanced by real-time mud resistivity measurements and fully corrected for borehole and environmental effects. Computations of water resistivity and saturation, invasion profile, true resistivity, and invaded-zone resistivity assist with reservoir analysis. Sensors also measure acceleration, mud temperature, tension, and compression.

The tool is suited for acquiring triple-combo formation evaluation measurements in any combination of slim or standard, deep, high pressure and high-temperature boreholes. Drillpipe conveyance is available for highly deviated and short-radius wells.

The string can be combined with other slim tools for additional formation evaluation benefit. Tool specifications are as follows.
