Aberdeen and Houston, has announced the appointment of John Blythe to the newly created position of global downstream business leader in its Engineering & Production Facilities Division.

Blythe previously was with Foster Wheeler for more than 29 years, serving most recently as senior vice-president for its US engineering and construction group.

Medina, Ohio, has promoted Marvin Miller to vice-president of its Pipeline Services Group. Miller has been with Corrpro, building its pipeline survey operation, for 12 years. He is based in the company's Houston office.

Houston, have signed an agreement whereby SCM's productivity tools will be integrated within Landmark's Z-Map Plus software. The combination provides new comprehensive workflows designed to allow novice and experienced users to quickly and efficiently model the subsurface.

Subsurface Computer Modeling Inc. is a leading geoscience consulting, training, and software development firm headquartered in Austin, Tex., with international headquarters near London, UK.

Landmark Graphics Corp., a wholly owned business unit of Halliburton, is a leading supplier of software and services for the upstream oil and gas industry.

Enerchem International Inc.

Calgary, has named Robert M. Satchwell as director of engineering. Satchwell holds bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in engineering.

Enerchem International Inc. is an oil field services company, providing specialty chemicals and hydrocarbon-based fluid solutions to oil field production problems.

Foster Wheeler Ltd.

Hamilton, Bermuda, has announced that its subsidiary, Foster Wheeler USA Corp., has appointed Charles Sweeney as senior vice-president, commercial operations, for its Southwest operations based in Houston.

Sweeney has 23 years of experience in the industry, 13 of which have been with Foster Wheeler. He earned a BS (Honors) in chemical engineering from Leeds University, and an MBA from Webster University, Leiden, Holland.

Foster Wheeler Ltd. is a global company offering a broad range of design, engineering, construction, manufacturing, project development and management, research, and plant operation services. Domiciled in Bermuda, its operational headquarters are in Clinton, NJ.

Emerson Process Management

Austin, Tex., has named Gene Shanahan as president of its Micro Motion division.

Shanahan joined Emerson in 1996, when the company acquired Dieterich Standard, of which he was president.

Micro Motion, headquartered in Boulder, Colo., is an international provider of flowmeters and sensors. The core product, Coriolis flowmeters, has been in the market since 1977.

Institut Français du Pétrole

Rueil-Malmaison, has named Alexandre Rojey as director for sustainable development, succeeding Alain Feugier, who retired. Rojey is an engineering graduate of Lyon's École Centrale, and holds an MS degree from Imperial College, London. He joined IFP in 1969, and has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility with the organization. He is also chairman of Cedigaz, the International Center for Information on Natural Gas and all Gaseous Hydrocarbons, an association that gathers, analyzes, and publishes statistical and economic information about natural gas, LNG, and LPG worldwide.

The Institut Français du Pétrole is an independent research and industrial development, education and training, and information center active in the oil, natural gas, and automotive fields.

Pride International Inc.

Houston, has elected William E. Macaulay as chairman of the board. Macaulay, who replaces Robert L. Barbanell in the post at Pride, is chairman and CEO of First Reserve Corp.

Pride International Inc. provides onshore and offshore drilling and related services in more than 30 countries. Pride operates a diverse fleet of 331 rigs, including two ultra-deepwater drillships, 11 semisubmersible rigs, 35 jackup rigs, and 29 tender-assisted barge and platform rigs, as well as 254 land rigs.

CB&I

The Woodlands, Tex., has announced the acquisition of John Brown Hydrocarbons Ltd. from OAO NK Yukos, Russia's largest integrated petroleum company.

Headquartered in London, John Brown provides comprehensive engineering, program and construction management services in the offshore, onshore, and pipeline sectors of the hydrocarbon industry, as well as for LNG terminals and flue gas desulfurization plants. The company has offices in London, Moscow, the Caspian region, and Canada. John Brown will become a part of CB&I Process & Technology group.

CB&I is a global full-scope engineering, procurement, and construction company, serving customers in several primary end markets, including hydrocarbon refining, natural gas, and water. With the recent integration of Howe-Baker International, and other acquisitions including that of John Brown, CB&I has introduced a new corporate brand identity, transitioning from its current multiple brands to a master brand architecture that emphasizes the CB&I acronym that has been in widespread use since the early 1900s.
