How the petroleum system relates to the petroleum province

Petroleum System - 2 A petroleum province and a petroleum system (PS) have very close links. The province represents in 3 or 4 dimensions the envelope of the unique or multiple PSs it contains. It is also the map representation (in 2 dimensions) of the PS.The province is characterized in terms of richness (the quantity of oil and gas discovered, if possible calculated by surface unit) and in term of habitat, the representation of the accumulations sorted by size.
