Fire resistant pipe plug for offshore vessels

Crusher Plug, a fire resistant plug for ducting plastic pipes through decks and bulkheads on offshore vessels, is now available for all types of plastic pipe, including PVC, PP, PE, and ABS, with a maximum outer diameter of 225 mm. Bureau Veritas has awarded the plug CE certification for these applications (under certificate No. 09155/A9 EC). Click here to enlarge imageThe plug is made from fire resistant rubber—expanding. When exposed to flames or to temperatures above 200° C. the rubber expands to more than 10 times its original volume and as a result totally compresses even aluminum pipe.
