Herrmann holds a BS in earth, atmospheric, and planetary sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and an MS in exploration geophysics from Stanford University. He has more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, most recently serving as senior vice-president of Petroleum Place Inc.

Montreal, has appointed Alain Ferland as acting president and CEO, replacing Edward Akkawi, who retired from day-to-day operations and assumes the position of chairman of the board of directors.
Ferland has more than 25 years of industry experience. He served as president of Ultramar Ltd. Canada, and as vice-president of Ultramar Diamond Shamrock in the US.

Houston, has appointed R. E. McKee III chairman of the board. McKee recently retired from ConocoPhillips, where he most recently served as executive vice-president of exploration and production. He earned a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and a master's degree in industrial management from MIT.
Enventure Global Technology provides solid expandable tubular (SET) technology, and holds or has pending over 300 patents for its proprietary systems.

Atlanta, has acquired the assets of Bronco Oilfield Services Inc., a Corpus Christi-based company specializing in surface pressure control services and equipment.
Bronco's operations represent a geographic expansion of services provided by Sooner Testing Inc., Elk City, Okla., which RPC acquired in 2001. RPC is retaining Bronco's employees, including the services of founders, Rick and Cathy Prudhomme.

Houston, has announced that its chairman of the board, Douglas P. Heller, will assume the additional positions of president and chief executive officer. Heller is a partner in the energy investment firm, Heller Hickox & Co.
Additionally, Mano Shaarpour has joined Sun as director of sales and marketing. Shaarpour has over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience, most recently with Halliburton/Baroid.
