Robroy Industries Verona, Pa., has promoted David A. Marshall to the position of president and chief operating officer. Marshall succeeds Peter McIlroy II, chairman and CEO, who has served as president for the past 22 years.

Verona, Pa., has promoted David A. Marshall to the position of president and chief operating officer. Marshall succeeds Peter McIlroy II, chairman and CEO, who has served as president for the past 22 years.

Robroy Industries is a 98-year-old family-owned manufacturer of electrical and oil field products.

Brodie Meter Co. LLC

Statesboro, Ga., has concluded the purchase of the assets of the Daniel/Brooks facility in Statesboro from Emerson Electric Co. Under Emerson's ownership, the company operated under the names of Brooks Instruments, Brooks Petroleum, Fisher-Rosemount Petroleum, and most recently as Daniel. Initial product offerings will be the BiRotor and Oval Gear positive displacement meter lines.

Brodie Meter Co. LLC was formed specifically to acquire this business, and will be managed by former Emerson employees. Thomas Clark is president and CEO, Mike Sutton is vice-president of sales. Other managing partners include Henry Webster Jr. and Johnny Parrish.

The Brodie name has long been associated with precision flow measurement. Ralph M. Brodie Co. was founded in California in 1929. Brodie Meter Co. LLC plans to build on the standards of quality and service with which the Brodie name has long been connected.

Ensco International Inc.

Dallas, has announced the signing of a definitive agreement to sell all of the oil field support vessels owned by the company's subsidiary, Ensco Marine Co., to Tidewater Inc.

Ensco International Inc. is a provider of contract drilling and marine transportation services to the international petroleum industry.

J. Ray McDermott SA

Houston, has named Robert A. Deason as president and chief operating officer. Deason, who has over 30 years of engineering and construction management experience, most recently spent 18 years with Fluor.

J. Ray McDermott SA is a subsidiary of McDermott International Inc, a leading worldwide energy services company providing engineering, fabrication, installation, procurement, research, manufacturing, environmental systems, project management, and facilities management services.

Foster Marketing Communications

Lafayette, La., has named Robert P. Wallace as executive vice-president. He will head Foster Marketing's expanding Houston office.

Wallace earned a BS degree in marketing from Ferris State University, Mich., and is a certified business communicator. He has held marketing and corporate communications positions with Dresser Industries, Baroid Corp., NL Industries, Dow Chemical, and most recently served as president of Bates Churchill Advertising and senior vice-president of Bates Southwest.

Foster Marketing Communications is a 23-year-old marketing communications firm specializing in business-to-business advertising, marketing, and public relations.

Optimized Gas Treating Inc.

Houston, has announced that M. S. Sivasubramanian (Siva) has joined the company as vice-president, technology. He will office in Wayland, Mass.

Siva holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, India; master's and PhD in chemical engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY; and attended executive programs at Harvard Business School. He has more than 18 years of experience in the design and development of state-of-the-art software to simulate mass transfer operations such as distillation and absorption, and spent 14 years with Aspen Technology Inc.

Optimized Gas Treating Inc. specializes in software for engineering and simulation of processes to remove H2S, CO2, and mercaptans from gases.

Aberdeen, has appointed Bob Lyons as managing director. A mining engineering graduate with a master's degree in petroleum engineering from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, Lyons worked the last 14 years for Enterprise Oil, where he most recently served as drilling manager in Brazil. He also has experience in the Far East, Middle East, and Italy, as well as the North Sea.
