Gainesville, Tex., have announced the merger of Felderhoff Bros. Drilling, and Mercer Drilling (a BSI Co.). The combined entities, under the supervision of Kenny Felderhoff, will operate as Felderhoff Bros. Drilling, a wholly owned subsidiary of BSI.

BSI Companies consist of Brammer Supply, Service Pipe & Supply, Bell Supply Co., Basin Tool Co., Mercer Well Service, Tejas Oilfield Services, Price Pipeline Construction, and Shale Tank Trucks.

Enerflex Systems Ltd.

Calgary, has announced the sale of its surface drilling equipment rental business, Canadian Select Energy West, to a division of Ensign Resource Service Group Inc.

Enerflex Systems Ltd. is a leading Canadian supplier of products and services to the global oil and gas production industry. The company provides natural gas compression, power generation, and production equipment, as well as hydrocarbon production and processing facilities, electrical, instrumentation, and controls services, and a comprehensive package of field maintenance and contracting capabilities.

The Woodlands, Tex., continues to build its management team with the addition of Xianhuai Zhu as vice-president of seismic imaging, and Glen T. Penfield as vice-president of marketing.

Zhu, formerly with Petroleum Geo-Services, will manage the technology and services provided by FPTI in acquisition design, seismic processing, pre-stack data conditioning, and inversion and velocity analysis.

Before joining FPTI, Penfield was with Conoco's Seismic Imaging Technology Center. He is responsible for building Fusion's business into a global player in the geophysical technology and services industry.

FPTI's parent company, Fusion Geophysical LLC, Norman, Okla., has announced that John Hooper has joined the company as general manager of geophysical analysis. Hooper was with Conoco Seismic Imaging Technology Center before joining Fusion.

Fusion Geophysical is a high-end geoscience and engineering technology and services company, founded in 2000. Services include seismic survey design, seismic imaging, geopressure prediction, seismic analysis, integrated interpretation, reservoir studies, and contract research and development.

EPM LLC

Austin, Tex., has announced the acquisition of Vité Inc. EPM will offer decision support, and risk management products from Vité as part of its project management services and software solutions.

Invensys PLC

Foxboro, Mass., has appointed Calvin B. Cobb as vice-president and general manager of the company's global hydrocarbon industries business unit. Cobb formerly had served with Monsanto, Pace Co., Wright Killen & Co., and most recently with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. He will be based in Invensys' Houston office.

Rockwell Automation and Flowserve Corp.

Milwaukee, Wisc., and Irving, Tex., respectively, have entered an agreement whereby Rockwell Automation will provide Entek condition-based monitoring equipment, software, and services to customers of the Flow Solutions Div. of Flowserve Corp. The combined expertise of the two companies is aimed at enhancing and developing predictive reliability solutions to Flowserve customers by improving their uptime and reducing maintenance costs.

Flowserve Corp. is a leading provider of industrial flow management services, producing engineered pumps for the process industries, precision mechanical seals, valves, valve actuators, and a range of related services.

Rockwell Automation provides industrial automation power, control, and information solutions.

Paragon Engineering Services Inc.

Houston, has appointed Paula F. Johnson as an international business development specialist. A registered professional engineer in Texas and Brazil, Johnson earned her BS degree in civil engineering from Gama Filho University, Rio de Janeiro.
