High-horsepower compressor designed for natural gas pipeline operations

The new BOS compressor comes in a range of one to six cylinders, horsepower ratings of 3,650-11,250, and maximum speeds of 850 and 1,000 rpm.

Rod load for all models is 90,000 lb, with two stroke sizes available—7.25 or 8.5 in.

The BOS can be driven by an electric motor or an engine.

Units are designed specifically to operate at higher speeds.

Compressor offers operators high horsepower and high speed in a small package.

Historically, the larger machines run at 300-400 rpm, the company notes."With the BOS, we are meeting the same project requirements with smaller, higher-speed equipment," the firm says.

Torque tool varies output at 0-2,000 ft-lb

The new Tornado torque tool varies torque output 0-2,000 ft-lb (API 17D Classes 1-4) without having to change the hydraulic drive motor.

Operators can therefore rapidly change between torque classes with the added convenience of not having to break into the hydraulics system, the company points out.

The tool is operated independently of the host remotely operated vehicle's electronics by allowing the ROV operator visually to read the turns count on a 11/2 in. high LED display located at the rear of the tool.

Tool electronics are situated in an oil filled housing that is depth rated for 3,000 m, and a battery life of up to 72 hr is achieved by the incorporation of simple power saving techniques.

The tool weighs only 58 lb in air, although it is also capable of supporting flying lead connections by supporting the weight of these connection systems on the latches.

The complete torque tool system is provided with API 17D class 1-4 standard end effectors, a digital readout surface torque calibration tool, and a set of sturdy transit cases.

Free 74 page viscometer/rheometer catalog

A new 74 page, 2003 full-color catalog, with detailed information on the complete line of this firm's viscometers and rheometers, is available free upon request.

This year's catalog features new and updated products including the CAP 1000+ and CAP 2000+ high shear cone and plate viscometers, the new YR-1 yield stress rheometer, and the new AST-100 process in-line viscometer with advanced sensor technology.

The catalog also gives information on company services that include viscosity testing, methodology consulting, viscosity test development, and instrument calibration and certification.

A simple "help me choose a viscometer" section and 2 page pull-out selection chart, "features and benefits" on each instrument, and other helpful cross-references for compatible software and accessories are included.

Epoxy grout forms mounting pads

Deep Pour Grout is a 100% solids, filled-epoxy compound suited for forming mounting pads to 6 in. deep; rebuilding spalled concrete; setting machine anchor bolts; and leveling compressors, generators, large pumps, and other machinery.

Formulated for high compressive strength (14,600 psi) and low shrinkage, it withstands intense vibration and resists chemicals.
