New Fade-A-Way dye additive, a trans lucent colorant, helps take the guesswork out of applying the clear top coat by providing temporary color contrast between the top coat and base coat, aiding in uniform application of the clear coat. After about 72 hr, the colorant dissipates leaving a clear top coat.

The additive is suited for use where diamond-clad clear coat is being applied in petrochemical operations.

New engine control system

The new Engenius ESM engine system manager puts gas compression and distributed generation operators in total control of their engines, wherever they may be.

A total engine management system, the Engenius ESM is directed by the engine control unit to optimize engine performance around the clock by monitoring speed, pressure, temperature, and other engine conditions; controlling ignition timing, speed governing, and stop-start functions; plus providing diagnostic help and fault logging when requested.

The system not only manages the engine for optimum performance, but can also be packaged to communicate instantly to an internet server, computer, phone, or pager via satellite, cellular connection, radio frequency device, or land phone line.

Featuring easy plug-and-play setup, the ESM gives the user full access and control of data using standard MODBUS communication protocol and manages the engine based on commands from a local control panel. The Engenius can keep an engine running even if sensors fail while optimizing spark timing for every speed-load condition with integrated detonation protection. Features include self-calibration and self-diagnostics and built-in, permanent fault histories of alarms and shutdowns. A simple connection to a lap top computer will provide complete engine readings while step-by-step troubleshooting instructions can guide the user through any alarm or shutdown code on-line.

The ESM is a solid-state device that's environmentally hardened, designed to withstand demanding applications and extreme weather conditions.

A new fast delivery program for Compa bloc all-welded plate heat exchangers is offered by this firm. The program is de signed to shorten delivery times to 5 weeks.

The program will include a range of seven sizes of heat exchanger with heat transfer surfaces up to 185 sq ft (equivalent to 1,000 sq ft heat transfer surface in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger) and temperature and pressure limits of 500

The Compabloc is designed without gaskets for operation in aggressive and high-temperature environments in liquid-to-liquid and two-phase duties. Units are available in most exotic materials including C22, C276, titanium, and tantalum. The fast delivery Compabloc is available in 316L stainless steel.
