Houston, has appointed Steve W. Shores vice-president of engineering. Shores is a graduate of the University of Tulsa with a BS in mechanical engineering, and has nearly 30 years of diversified engineering, project management, and business management experience.

Stolt Offshore SA

London, has named Niels G. Stolt-Nielsen as interim CEO upon the recent retirement of Bernard Vossier. Stolt-Nielsen is also CEO of Stolt Offshore's parent company, Stolt-Nielsen. The company has commenced a search for a permanent CEO.

Stolt Offshore is a leading offshore contractor to the global oil and gas industry, specializing in technologically sophisticated deepwater engineering, flowline and pipeline lay, construction, inspection, and maintenance services.

Crane Valves North America

Signal Hill, Calif., has announced the appointment of Ted Corvaia as director of sales-industrial products. His responsibilities cover the Flowseal, Center Line, Crane, Duo-Chek, and Aloyco product lines.

Crane Valves North America manufactures and sells a variety of valve products and related services.

Weatherford International Ltd.

Houston, has named Stuart Ferguson as president of Weatherford Completion Systems division, and David Colley as vice-president of Weatherford's Global Manufacturing Operations.

Ferguson earned a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Birmingham in England, and has more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Most recently, he managed Weatherford's Intelligent Wells business unit. He also had worked for Expro International, Petroline Wellsystems Ltd., and BP.

Colley received a BS in business administration from the University of Texas-Dallas, and has 23 years of experience in manufacturing, procurement, materials management, and product line management.

He worked for Halliburton Co., and most recently was vice-president for manufacturing in Weatherford's Artificial Lift Systems division.
